France 2010 - Le Bois Plage En Re

The following day Dyl’s foot was good enough to ride his bike so we set off back to Le Bois Plage En Re, the town where he had hurt it the day before.  When we arrived we parked up the bikes and wandered around the market. Rhi bought herself a bracelet and yet another new bag.  Well I say she bought the bracelet when in fact she went to try one on and the girl glued it together so she couldn’t get it off. This meant she had to pay for it – nice ruse.  She did like it though and probably would have bought it anyway.

We had decided to have lunch on the beach so we went into the indoor market where the food was being sold. Having sampled some wares we purchased some cumin infused goat’s cheese, bread and tomatoes.  We then cycled down a long straight road to the beach where we sat in the blazing hot sun and ate our lunch.  We went for a swim in the sea which was a bit colder than the Med but good fun all the same.  Dyl’s managed to find a sea slug drifting in amongst the seaweed; it was a strange creature if ever I saw one.

After an hour or so on the beach we had enough of the sun and headed back to the apartment for a dip in the pool.
