Was it worth it? Not really…
Stones were a lot larger and more uncomfortable to sit on at close range. |
The beach was pebbly and there was a very strong southerly wind continually blowing which made the sea very rough and not very enticing for a swim.
We didn’t stay long before making our way back to the car.
The windswept Mediterranean Sea. |
Once back at the car I couldn’t face the thought of being driven back up the hill so refused to get into the car until at least half way up. It just looked to dangerous a drive and I couldn’t face it so I walked up along the most treacherous stretch of the track and jumped in the car. I then put my hands over my eyes and prayed we would make it back up to the top of the ravine. Apart from one hairy moment where the car wasn’t able to make it around one of the bends and had to reverse and back out over the edge of the ravine we made it safely back up to the top of the hill and back out on the lay by.
